About the Dynamic Recovery Rehabilitation Centre Team

Luke Tsang, Registered Physiotherapist, PT, MCPA, CAFCI, CGFI

With almost 24 years of orthopaedic physiotherapy experience, Luke brings extensive depth and breadth of knowledge to Dynamic Recovery Rehabilitation Centre. His longstanding interest in sports, sports injuries and orthopaedic rehab has made him a dedicated therapist among competitive athletes, recreational athletes and non-athletes alike.

Extensive Physiotherapy Training

Luke has completed the Level 3 courses of the advanced orthopaedic manual and manipulative physiotherapy program of the orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Luke has also taken numerous post-graduate courses, including mechanical diagnosis and therapy from The McKenzie Institute. His range of knowledge includes vestibular rehabilitation, therapeutic taping, kinesiotaping techniques and orthotics prescription. Luke is fully certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and has been using acupuncture as one of the most important tools to treat his patients since 1995.

His treatment philosophy includes using a combination of manual therapy, electrotherapeutic modalities and acupuncture to restore normal joint and tissue mobility and then applying specific exercise techniques to restore function and minimize injury reoccurrence.

Treated National-Level Athletes

Luke’s areas of interest include treating complex shoulder and knee problems along with neck and back conditions. As a marathon runner, he has developed special interest in treating running-related injuries. He has had success treating a wide variety of clients including national level athletes, competitive gymnasts, musicians and weekend warriors.

Certified Golf Fitness Instructor

As a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified Golf Fitness Instructor, Luke also works with golfers of all ages and abilities, assessing and treating any physical and biomechanical restrictions that may be contributing to faulty, injury inducing swing mechanics.

In his spare time, he enjoys running, golfing, cycling, watching his son play baseball, and preparing for his next marathon race!
